My name is Deborah Douglas and I am a “STRESS ELIMINATION SPECIALIST”. All the classes and services that I offer reduce or eliminate STRESS.
I am a Reiki Master Practitioner (RMP), Certified Aromatherapist (CA), Tai Chi Teacher, Certified Yoga Instructor (CYI), and I hold the title of Renshi (6th degree black belt) in an Okinawan Karate called ShorinRyu.
Although I do still teach Karate, it is on a much smaller scale than in my younger days. I had my own karate dojo in Houston for many years.
Reiki, Aromatherapy, Tai Chi & Yoga make me The Perfect Blend.
I started by karate training and yoga practice in 1974. My Yoga practice was under the tutelage of Lex Gillian, founder of The Yoga Institute in Houston, Texas. It wasn’t until 2013 that I decided to teach Yoga.
At that time, I was also introduced to Reiki and Aromatherapy. I received many attunements in Reiki from several Reiki Master Teachers in the Houston area. Reiki is a Japanese technique that takes the body into a deep relaxation state. In that relaxed state a healing can occur whether it is physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
Aromatherapy or Essential Oil Therapy is the blending of essential oils for specific issues. I have been an advocate for all things natural from a very early age. So using essential oils really resonated deep within my soul!
I picked up Tai Chi again just in the last year. I was always told when you are young you practice an external martial art like karate or kung fu and when you get old you practice an internal marital art like Tai Chi.
I know I was sent here to this Earth for a purpose and that purpose is to help people help themselves to better health the natural way.
I would love to be able to take my Perfect Blend which is Reiki, Aromatherapy, Tai Chi and Yoga into hospitals and assisted living complexes.
The protocol I use with my clients is to start them out with a Reiki session which allows them to go into a deep relaxation state. Then depending on what they need, I make them one or two essential oil blends. Once they are feeling better physically, I recommend that they attend my Tai Chi class. After several months of Tai Chi and if the client is ready I begin to add yoga stretches and asanas to their daily routine.
This is how I help people help themselves to better health the natural way!
Peace & Love!
